Botella’s Story

Since the beginning, Botella has set out to source and share the hidden gems that the many vineyards of the Old & New World have to offer. We made it our mission to source our wines from small, organic, bio dynamic, and family run estates. Where the wine making philosophy remains true to its traditional form. We have set out to bring Georgia the wines, growers and winemakers we believe in!

Spending many summers on the Mediterranean opened our eyes to some truly amazing experiences, where we were mesmerized with different cultures, foods, and of course Wine! With these experiences and exciting new wonders from abroad, we knew this was one experience that had to be shared. We loved tasting and experiencing the local wines that the European countryside had to offer so much we thought we would share this experience with you. This would set in motion an adventure of a lifetime and chart a new course in our lives where we hoped to become the story tellers for you! It is our belief that every bottle of wine comes with its very our story. The story of the wine, the grape, the soil, and the winemakers themselves. Our goal is to continue to tell these amazing stories of some truly amazing wines and we hope each and every one of you will appreciate them as much as we do. We started our journey by meeting and developing a special relationship and bond with our producers, winemakers and growers and now we hope to connect you with each of them!

By keeping the company focused on our core goals and by remaining selective in our process, we hope to bring you something special. We have been privileged through a unique bond and a special relationship we have developed with each and every winemaker, that we can now bring their creations, their art, and their masterpieces to a new audience. This relationship has created a deep running pride in ourselves of their work and we wish to share this with you. Our mission at Botella is to introduce Georgia to the wines we believe in and the stories of their producers.

GORDON, derek - Founder

Derek Gordon brings over fifteen years of experience and understanding of the industry to our business. After running many extensive beverage programs and opening numerous restaurants throughout the city, Derek decided to leave the industry in search of new challenges. Derek went on to work in the International business and distribution field where he developed an understanding of international markets. While traveling throughout Europe and experiencing what the small local vineyards of the many towns had to offer, Derek decided to embark on a new and challenging journey. This would be where the business would first take form.

The ability to experience such wonderful and seemingly untouched wines created an excitement to share this experience with everyone back home. Derek is now returning to the industry with a new perspective on expanding the knowledge of the consumer’s pallet. Derek brings a passion for quality, adventure, and boldness to influence who we are and what we do!
