Vallformosa’s history began in 1865 in Vilobí del Penedès, in a peaceful and enjoyable location in the heart of nature.

The winegrowers are the soul of their project, their family. They are also the ones who connect Vallformosa with the environment, thanks to their knowledge and love for the land.

While they don’t have their own vineyards, they work closely with more than 400 wine growing families, whom they have supported throughout the years and with whom they share a mutual project. Thanks to this unique model, they have achieved full engagement from start to finish and assure the quality of the products.

At Vallformosa, they collaborate to care for and conserve the areas and their indigenous varieties. In the highest area of the Penedès, 500 metres above sea level, are the Mediterranean highlands, where the vineyards are known as the “+500 area”. The grapes from theses mountainous parcels ripen more slowly thanks to the day and night temperature contrast, enhancing the wines’ organoleptic qualities.
